Name of Course:
UCMAS Abacus Reckoning and Mental Arithmetic
Nature of Course:
An Active Numerical & Image Processing Training of our brains using Abacus and subsequently imaginary beads of Abacus to process arithmetic calculation which sought
to improve the development of left & right hemispheres of the brain. This system is totally unique and different from the normal method of teaching Arithmetic.
Numbers are counted by moving the beads on the Abacus.
The Abacus is used to teach the children, where they use both the hands to manipulate the beads. In initial stages, they take the help of the Abacus to work out the
problems. Gradually, the Abacus is taken away and the child performs the manipulation of beads mentally. This enables them to achieve a high level of speed, accuracy
and concentration. Any Arithmetic calculation can be arrived within a few seconds/minutes over a period of regular education & training.
The system is very simple which needs only 10-20 minutes of practice daily and does not affect other Academic education. On the contrary, it supplements the improvement
of career education.
